1. In 1999, we moved our operating headquarters from the US to Singapore.

 

2. By the 90s, we had a strong regional presence with upgraded refineries and revamped service stations.

 

3. Singapore is the regional hub for the Caltex brand where all marketing strategies are developed for the rest of Asia.

 

4. Chevron Singapore received the Community Spirit Award from the People’s Association in recognition of our contributions towards the community from 2011 to 2015.

 

5. EDB also recognised Chevron’s contribution to Singapore in the economic, social and community arenas by conferring them with the Distinguished Partner in Progress Award in 2005.

CALTEX FUEL YOUR SCHOOL

CALTEX FUEL YOUR SCHOOL

In 2015, Caltex and community partner Central Singapore CDC launched Fuel Your School – STEM @ Central Singapore. Targeted at lower secondary school students, the programme aimed to nurture a passion for science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) subjects and inspire a pursuit in related fields in the future.

 

This took the form of a one-day camp, packed with a fun behind-the-scenes learning journey to Universal Studios Singapore (USS) and a practical hands-on workshop. Participants were then tasked to apply their new appreciation of real world mechanics and physics towards designing their very own Pitsco-model rollercoaster.

 

Winners of the ‘Most Impressive Roller Coaster’ as deemed by Facebook likes also helped fund their respective schools’ Mathematics and Science Departments to continue their creative STEM journey. The students’ creativity and success was fueled by the Duck Learning Company and volunteers from the Raffles Girls’ School’s Science and Mathematics Department.

Caltex PAssion For Kids

 

From 2012 to 2014, Caltex partnered with the People's Association (PA) to organise the Caltex PAssion for Kids initiative that aims to empower and inspire learning by giving underprivileged children the opportunity to gain knowledge, develop new skills and be exposed to new ways of learning.
